From the start of the First World War, fighter aircraft have become
one of the most recognized types of planes around the world. As
time passed, technology advanced, and so did fighter aircraft.
However, the end of the Cold War will not mean an end to the development
of the fighter aircraft. Some aircraft, once front-line machines
for NATO and Warsaw Pact forces, have already been sold to countries
all over the world, and yet may be used against their former owners.
Today, we see some of the most advanced fighters ever invented,
the ATF F-22, MiG-29, F-15, F-16, Su-27, and more. Like the past,
as technology advances, so will modern fighter planes. One day,
these modern planes will suffer the same fate as their ancestors.
