Bombers, the next class of aircraft most known to the media due
to the simplicity of their roles, to carry a large payload of ammunition
and drop it all on a specific enemy target. These bombers, of course,
played a major more in WWII, the mass carpet bombings of Germany
and Britain. However, today, most countries don't have the large-scale
bombers of yesterday. The RAF do not have any "bombers,"
and the US only has funding for 69 bombers, made up of the B-1B,
B-52H, and B-2. Russia, though, still has a large number of bombers,
most of them outdated. Even though bombers have been a vital part
of air warfare for more than 70 years, they are now becoming a rare
sight in many air forces.
